Who Tracks the Trackers? Making DAO execution visible
Kicking Off the Sandbox Execution Verifier (SEV)
Today, we’re excited to announce the official kickoff of a project: Sandbox Execution Verifier (SEV), a tool built to bring visibility, accountability, and transparency to proposal execution within The Sandbox DAO. We’re also happy to share that Milestone 1 has already been completed, setting the foundation for the development phases ahead.
What Is SEV and Why Does It Matter?
DAOs have made major progress in how decisions are proposed and voted on.
But once a proposal passes, what happens next?
This is where SEV comes in.
SEV is a governance infrastructure tool that lets anyone in the DAO community track the real-world execution of approved proposals, in a public, verifiable, and user-friendly way.
With SEV, DAO contributors and voters will be able to:
See the execution status of funded proposals
Let grantees report progress in a streamlined way
Hold contributors accountable with shared context
Strengthen DAO trust and credibility over time
Milestone 1: Delivering the Foundations
Our first milestone is now complete. We kicked things off with co-design workshops involving members of The Sandbox DAO and our product team, mapping key pain points and user needs across roles.
You can explore the Figma wireframes showcasing end-to-end flows, including happy paths, edge cases, and error states.
Check out this video for a walkthrough of Milestone 1:
What We’ve Built
We started with co-design workshops. We also designed wireframes for the workflow, from uploading a file, to validating its hash, to viewing the execution result, with tailored experiences for Admins, Consultants, and DAO Members. This first milestone lays the groundwork for future automation across key DAO transaction types such as liquidations, authorizations, acquisitions, arbitrage, and vault operations.
Making Execution Visible, and Valuable
By showing what’s happening after a vote, SEV helps raise the bar for what accountability can look like in Web3.
In that sense, SEV isn’t just a tracker, it’s a tool to encourage follow-through from contributors, help DAOs build operational memory, and empower voters with visibility into outcomes. By making execution more transparent, it strengthens trust across the entire governance process.
What’s Next
With the kickoff complete and the foundations in place, we’re now moving into Milestone #2, building the Execution Verifier engine and a React-based UI in simulation mode.
