Build with WakeUp Labs on Optimism: OP as Venture Studio
Today we officially kick off Optimism as Venture Studio, a support initiative designed to help project deploy, scale, and growth across the Optimism Ecosystem. Our goal is to accelerate the journey from idea to impact for high-potential teams.
What’s the mission about?
Funded by the Optimism Collective and executed by WakeUp Labs, this mission will deliver technical and strategic support to selected projects building within the Optimism ecosystem.
At WakeUp Labs, our goal is to remove technical and operational barriers and accelerate adoption across DeFi, gaming and infrastructure, driving meaningful onchain impact and gas usage on Optimism.
Milestone Roadmap
This project will be carried out across five main milestones.
Milestone 1: Define Selection Mechanism
Milestone 2: Select Subsidy Recipients (Projects Screening and Selection)
Milestone 3: Start Working (Development and Execution)
Milestone 4: Detailed Report and Public Closure Announcement
Milestone 5: Long term commitment
These milestones are designed to overlap where possible, meaning one milestone's completion is not necessarily a blocker for the next. The full roadmap and additional context are available in the project proposal.
How We’ll Measure Success
Here are the key performance indicators we'll use to evaluate the success of projects supported through the program:
Smart contracts deployed.
Transactions generated.
Unique wallet interactions.
Total gas usage.
Long-term ecosystem alignment.
