The Second mission.

Superchain accounts

What was it about?

Optimism proposed the development of Superchain Accounts – native smart accounts tailored for the Superchain ecosystem. These accounts utilized account abstraction features, allowing OP chain users to earn Superchain Points through active on-chain participation, elevate their Superchain Rank, and enhance their NFTs. Higher ranks provided users with recognition and benefits, including entry to Weekly Superchain Raffles and increased voting power in a snapshot strategy.

WakeUp’s proposal.

The project kicks off with a Design Phase, during which we will complete technical specifications and the design for Superchain Accounts. This phase also includes developing a prototype to showcase functionality and user interaction, which will be tested by collaborators within the Optimism ecosystem.

The development phase continues with a focus on constructing the essential smart contracts and user interface components. This stage is characterized by detailed documentation and thorough testing to ensure both security and usability, where everything developed will be displayed and explained in its corresponding Open Source repository.

To prevent Sybil attacks, using soulbound tokens for Superchain Points and Badges can help to reduce them. Also, to mitigate the damage that can be caused by Sybil attacks, some of the claimable badges will be linked to identity verification, similar to how projects like Talent Protocol or GitCoin Passport do it, while still being completely optional.

After completing development, we'll test, address any corresponding fixes, and launch the final version. We will deploy the Superchain Accounts on the Optimism Mainnet, incorporating achievements fetched from OP Mainnet and Base. Finally, to promote awareness and encourage adoption, we will deploy community engagement strategies. With that in mind, we aim to enhance participation by utilizing weekly raffles, airdrops, and other incentives to boost engagement.

Next steps.
