WakeUp Labs is happy to announce that it has started utilizing Rootstock, the world’s first Bitcoin sidechain launched in 2018 and has been growing ever since, to foster blockchain adoption. As a fully EVM-compatible sidechain to Bitcoin, Rootstock makes it easy for developers to quickly and easily deploy dApps harnessing the security of Bitcoin.

Agro Kilimo Development by WakeUp Labs
By the end of 2022, WakeUp started working with Kilimo, the leading digital platform for irrigation management in agriculture, to launch the first verified water-saving certification platform.
This MVP enables Kilimo to provide certifications as non-fungible tokens representing farmers' water savings and highlighting Kilimo's dedication to sustainable agriculture.
This RWA (real-world-assets) project allowed farmers to swap these certificates with big companies, enabling them to offset a portion or the entire water footprint they had generated.
Rootstock Blockchain Integration in WakeUp's Platform
Later, WakeUp integrated the Rootstock blockchain into its platform, facilitating development on Rootstock through simple APIs. This approach aims to enable more projects to be easily deployed on Rootstock and foster new developers to join the Blockchain revolution.

WakeUp Joins the Rootstock Token Bridge Federation
WakeUp has also joined the #RSK Token Bridge Federation 🙌
This means that they are a validator node for the Ethereum <> RSK bridge, and therefore, they contribute to the decentralization and security of the ecosystem.
